How I work

Every project is different, so I will sit down with you to have a conversation about your needs to determine a baseline. Obviously, some tasks (meeting  the plumber during the business day or taking several boxes of items for donation) won't require much planning, whereas other projects (planning your cross-country or cross-city move, staging your house for showings, or helping you clear and organize some of the chaos in your home) will require a fairly significant amount of planning. Depending on the scope of the project, the amount of time and work you would like to perform yourself, your budget, and any other factors pertinent to the task(s) at hand, MERRILY MOVES can provide you with a master plan with accountability for you to follow through on your own, work along side with you, or work independently to complete any project.

For most large-scale projects, I'll tour your space(s) to better assess the scope of your project after the initial consultation. There is no one-size-fits all solution, so an on-site visit will give both of us the most accurate view of your project. This will also allow us to discuss options to create the most sensible strategy that fits your lifestyle. At this time, I can generally determine whether or not the plan we agree upon can be  accomplished in a single work session or if it will require multiple visits.

Once we have agreed upon a plan of action, the real work begins. Whether I'm working alone or alongside you, I'll be focused on getting the job done. My tried-and-true processes makes the experience efficient, with a high attention to detail, without overwhelming you. I am committed to reducing, recycling, and re-purposing whenever possible with your permission.

Whatever the scope of your project, I always have your big picture in mind so you can get back to the important stuff.
